As an educator and thought leader on assessment and accountability in higher education my professional mission is to generate applied scholarship, bridge theory to practice, create systems and processes, and teach higher education professionals to foster college student learning, development, and success.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience working in higher education as a practitioner, professor and scholar, I assists colleges and universities in building, implementing, and evaluating cultures of assessment to document student learning and evaluate effectiveness of programs and services. My passionate, energetic, accessible approach to assessment empowers and motivates others to measure and demonstrate their impact on student success.
A leader and catalyst in student affairs, I served as President of ACPA – College Student Educators International from 2015-2016, furthering its mission to foster college student learning and development. In addition, I am President of the Council for Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS), an organization that sets standards for quality practice for colleges and universities.
