Helping Colleges Turn Evidence into Improvement, Student Success, and Belonging
Colleges and universities collect vast amounts of data about students, learning, and programs—but too often that evidence does not translate into meaningful institutional change.
I partner with institutions to build cultures of evidence, strengthen assessment practices, and translate research into action that improves student success and belonging.
How I Help Institutions
Assessment and Institutional Improvement
I help colleges and universities design meaningful assessment systems that move beyond compliance toward continuous improvement. My work supports institutions in using evidence to strengthen programs, inform decision-making, and advance institutional priorities.
Student Belonging and Success
A growing body of research shows that students’ sense of belonging is central to persistence, engagement, and success. I work with institutions to assess belonging, interpret data about student experiences, and design strategies that strengthen connection, engagement, and success across campus.
Professional Development and Training
Through workshops, institutes, and keynotes, I help faculty, staff, and institutional leaders develop the skills needed to use assessment and research to improve programs, strengthen student success initiatives, and create more supportive learning environments.
Advancing Belonging in Higher Education
Students thrive when they feel connected, valued, and supported within their institutions. My research and consulting explore how colleges and universities can move beyond isolated initiatives toward systemic approaches that strengthen belonging across academic, social, and institutional contexts.
Drawing on socio-ecological perspectives, this work examines how institutional structures, policies, and practices influence students’ experiences of belonging—and how institutions can intentionally design environments that foster connection, engagement, and success.
